The League
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
by
Richard Stooker
I'm not surprised to learn this movie originated as a comic book. It's clever, but lacks any real sense of adventure and humanity. Even the subplot with Tom Sawyer and Allan Quartermain doesn't work for me. If you know who both of those characters are, you may enjoy the cleverness of this movie.

Is the League for Fun Or First Place?
by
Adrian F Alexa
Most of the leagues that handle basketball programs for the your are divided into two categories, recreational and competitive. Each type requires a different type of coaching approaches,so you should find in what type of leagues you are coaching, so that you can train your kids accordingly. Competitive leagues are for the more experienced player and very rare you will find a volunteer coaching one of this teams, on the flip side, in recreation leagues you will very often find volunteers coaching these teams.

Top Speaker
Author Says: Sports Administrators Should Retire When Their Kids Leave The League
by
Dr. Gary S. Goodman
If you thought former Los Angeles Dodgers General Manager, the Harvard trained Paul DiPodesta, was a geek, look no farther than to your local kids sports leagues and you'll find people we used to call, "The Paste Eaters," running nearly every one. "How does this happen?" you might wonder. Every team in kid sports is buttressed by an infrastructure of parents, volunteers mainly, who oversee the activities, everything from coaching to arranging carpools and parties. Some of these people become administrators of leagues, especially if they have kids with a wide span of ages. And a few, long after their kids have moved on to high school and college, stick around because they like the authority, the politics, and the ambiance of amateur athletics. I believe it is a mistake to allow people to serve beyond the time that their kids are playing, says Dr. Gary S. Goodman, top speaker and best-selling author of 12 books, including: 101 THINGS PARENTS SHOULD KNOW BEFORE VOLUNTEERING TO COACH THEIR KIDS' SPORTS TEAMS.

Alan Moore - The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
by
Kule Sinbes
The league of extraordinary gentlemen is a league of its own. So much so that I've begun to think of it as professional cross over fan fiction.

Chelsea Back on Top of the League Table
by
Joseph Ezie Efoghor
Chelsea is back on top of the English premiership table after Manchester united took over momentarily for a few weeks. With 54 points from 23 matches, we are gradually beginning to separate ourselves from our closest rivals. By the time we played our 2 outstanding matches and won, we came back to our deserved position (top of the table).

Scout the League, Not a Team
by
Jack Space
Being a good fan and rooting for your favorite team is terrific, but if you're serious enough to travel to scout for your fantasy draft, you should get the most out of your effort. While it's good to see your hometown team play in the spring, for fantasy purposes you might also want to look in another direction. You know that you'll follow your favorite club to death during the season and will know every in and out of their roster. Depending on your location in the spring and the kind of league you play in, plan to see other teams that can help you in your draft.

English Soccer Latest News - Can Manchester United Win the League Again?
by
Abayomi Aje
The Red Devils have been by far the most successful clubside in England since clubs in the old First Division resigned to form what we now know as the Premiership in 1992. For a club that had not tasted league success in 25 years of asking, 1993 saw many of the clubs younger fans witness their heroes lifting a league trophy for the first time.

Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill's - The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
by
Seamas O Sionnaigh
Oh, I Say, Steady On There, Old Chap! British writer Alan Moore is something of a guru (and counter-culture icon) among die-hard aficionados of comic books and graphic novels. Since the late 1970s this incredibly prolific author has challenged tradition and conventionality in the comic book form, taking his works into the arena of adult readerships (and adult themes) with a succession of genre-busting stories that have in some cases single-handedly reinvented the field.
