by
John Casson
The 2010 French Open, highlighting last year's amazing achievement by Italian born Francesca Schiavone and the dominance of Rafael Nadal, set the tennis world on fire with excellent matches and close play. This year's Open looks just as good with the stage set for epic matches.

US Open Tennis
by
Paulo Walsh
The US Open is the last chance for professional tennis players to shine up their tennis racket and bid to win the final Grand Slam of the year. The US Open is played on the hard courts of Flushing Meadows in New York and the venue is one of the most spectacular and awe inspiring in world tennis. As the last major of the tennis calendar the tournament is held over a 2 week period at the end of August.

Presentation Skills Lessons From the US Open Tennis Grand Slam
by
Gilda Bonanno
Recently, I attended the U.S. Open tennis tournament at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, NY. I saw some great matches and players, including Rafael Nadal, Sam Querrey, David Nalbandian, Samantha Stosur, James Blake (from Fairfield, CT!) and John Isner. I love watching tennis - and I think there are lessons from tennis that can apply to presentation skills:

French Open - Tennis En France
by
Matthew Pressman
Every summer, under the heat of a Parisian sun, the 'Tournoi de Roland-Garros' - commonly known as the French Open - is held in the French capital. The tournament lasts for two weeks, between mid-May and early June, in the Stade de Roland Garros, and is the second of the Gland Slam competitions which take place on the annual tennis circuit. The event has a long and prestigious history, which began in 1891, as the Championat de France International de Tennis.

Borg V Connors at the US Open - The Agony and the Ecstasy
by
Cheri Britton
Jimmy Connors and Bjorn Borg, legendary tennis players and contemporaries in the 1970s and 1980s were both fiercely competitive, yet temperamental opposites. These personality differences were to dramatically shape their experiences at the US Open: Borg's slight head-to-head career edge was completely negated by New York's uniquely animated atmosphere, and his poor performances here ultimately brought about a premature end to his playing career. Conversely, Connors soaked up the cauldron of emotion year after year and used it to fuel many sublime, and winning performances over three decades. They met twice in the US final on two different surfaces, clay and hard court, but even Borg's domination in Europe on the former counted for little against Connors in his element, and he was dismissed twice.
